First Nation Fire Department Training

The ONFFS, which specifically involves all First Nations Fire Chiefs and their Departments, Fire Prevention Officers and Fire Safety Officers in the Ontario Region, has recognized to put fire fighter training as a priority. The elected Board of Directors of ONFFS is given direction from their general membership to actively pursue any means to establish First Nation fire fighter training and prevention. The ONFFS work plan addresses the needs for this training.

ONFFS Instructors Duties

  1. Provide instruction and training to First Nation fire departments as assigned or instructed
  2. Provide a written/document report of the type of training that was delivered to the First Nation fire department
  3. Provide a complete list of fire fighting equipment (inventory) that the fire department has at their disposal
  4. Provide the names of the participants/volunteers that receive the training
  5. Provide all receipts along with invoice to the ONFFS for payment of services rendered
  6. Provide completed evaluation forms
